International Press Corps
Not a committee — a media machine. IPC delegates cover all other committees in real time, producing articles, photographs, and caricatures that get published in the INDYS gazette. This corps creates the summit's visual and written record.
The International Press Corps is a specialized Model UN committee in which delegates step outside traditional diplomatic roles to act as journalists, photographers, and caricaturists covering the conference itself. Rather than debating resolutions, IPC delegates attend committee sessions, conduct interviews with delegates and crisis characters, and produce written articles, opinion pieces, and visual content that document the conference's unfolding narrative. A core output of this committee is the conference gazette — a periodically published bulletin featuring news reports, analysis, photography, and political cartoons that capture key moments of debate and diplomacy across all committees. Caricaturists in particular play a distinctive role, using satire and visual commentary to highlight the personalities and dynamics of the conference, while photographers document its spontaneous, behind-the-scenes moments. By chronicling the conference as it happens, the Press Corps gives delegates valuable experience in journalism, media literacy, and public communication, while also creating a lasting record of the event for all participants.
